Marine Biology Trip

Marine Biology Trip

Every 3 years, students in grade 7-9 attend a trip to the BC coast for a Marine Biology Trip!

The projects involve:

  • The Transdisciplinary Theme: How the World Works: An inquiry into the natural world and its laws; the interaction between the natural world (physical, biological) and human societies; how humans use their understanding of scientific principles.

With the following key concepts:

  • Change: How do small changes in an ecosystem result in larger changes throughout multiple ecosystems?

  • Connection: How are the parts of the ecosystem connected?

  • Reflection: How did this research/experience change your thinking or feeling? How can I use what I’ve learned to make positive changes in ecosystems?

In preparation for the next trip, the students will need to do fundraisers including bottle collection, hot lunches, bake sales, and more. Watch for more information!
