Fire Prevention Week at the Milo School

Milo Volunteer Fire Department members Byron Thompson, Rylee Deitz and Karlee Thompson with Regional Deputy Fire Chief Doug Headrick visited the Milo School today as part of our Fire Prevention Week activities. The program started with an all school fire drill and assembly and then students took part in an escape exercise in the Vulcan County Emergency Services Fire Safety Trailer and finished with a tour of the Fire Association  Fire Truck.

The students and staff were very impressed with the hands on real life experience of the smoke filled bedroom scenario and having to problem solve and escape through a secondary exit. Thanks again to the Milo Volunteer Fire Department volunteers for making this opportunity available to our students.
