The month of September was a busy one for our students and staff. In addition to settling into classroom routines, learning new and exciting things and making new friends our school participated in many activities.
Our school is always very proud and honoured to partner in hosting the annual Milo Terry Fox Run, this year was the 29th consecutive year of the run in Milo and as always, was generously supported.
This year we marked Treaty 7 Day with an assembly for all students. Our VP Mr. Tetrault gave a very informative presentation and we were treated to examples of traditional native dancing and regalia.
The Milo School staff hosted a "meet the teachers night" complete with a chili supper. Principal Ms. Prud'Homme gave a quick overview of our school and introduced all staff members before parents and students toured the school and shopped at the Scholastic Book Fair.
Our students are always excited to participate in the Milo Fall Fair. Students worked very hard on their entries and were thrilled with the ribbons and cash awards they received.
To wrap up the month of September our school took part in Orange Shirt Day to acknowledge residential schools and the move towards reconciliation.
We are all looking forward to the months that follow and the exciting learning opportunities that lay ahead.
