Milo School presents "The Nutcracker".
Posted on December 16th, 2013
A large crowd enjoyed the Milo Community School's annual Christmas Production. The evening performance began with a reminder of the reason for the season. The Milo Alphabets Kindergarten and pre-school students presented the Nativity and sweetly sang "Silent Night" accompanied by actions. After an audience participation Christmas sing-a-long while the stage was set, the Nutcracker began. The Chorus, made up of jr. high students, narrated the story while students portrayed the characters and performed the scenes on stage. Between each scene the audience joined in for more spirit lifting Christmas caroling. The show ended with all of the students on stage singing "We wish you a Merry Christmas" to the appreciative crowd. Refreshments and fellowship were shared to cap off a successful night.
We wish to thank Miss Snelgrove for all of her hard work directing the play and Sara Rempel for her work as costume mistress. As always the play could not go on without all the behind the scenes help, the backstage crew did a phenomenal job both prepping for and on the night of the play. Thanks to the Milo School Parent Council for providing the refreshments for all to enjoy. And finally a heartfelt thank you to families and friends of the students of the Milo School for your continued support, you make it all worthwhile.
Food bank donations were collected from the very generous attendees and will be delivered to the Vulcan FCSS food bank this week.
Merry Christmas to one and all!
