Milo School participates in Village Beautification Day

On Thursday, June 11 all students and staff participated in the village of Milo Beautification Day. This involved going out into the community to help with various projects throughout the village. Some of the jobs the students helped with included yard clean up, painting, curb cleaning, crosswalk painting, and tidying up neglected areas. The kids worked very hard on a very hot day and really appreciated the freezie treats at the end of the day. Thanks to Richardson Pioneer for sponsoring the delicious barbecue lunch and for providing the freezies.

The village looks stunning now and we were all happy to be a part of beautification day.

I am pleased to see the youth active in this endeavour. I am sure that days like this one have helped the school bond with the community. They need each other for long term success.
